Second Chance in Love is an interesting story – not your typical second chance romance. I like Mike so much – he’s stupidly naïve but sweet. You will pity and love him at the same time.
Mike conquest to find his answers made me laugh. I was imagining him as Jim in American Pie – exploring the world of giving satisfaction.
This is definitely a good read.

A gentle romance that takes on a journey of discovery together with Mike and Amy. There are handbooks aplenty on marriage, parenting and intimacy, but somehow they never quite cover what we most need, namely real-life experience. With twenty-twenty hindsight, I can see that most couples have to find their own rhythm and what works for them, but getting there isn't easy. One can hardly blame Mike for his lack of experience because as with every other man, he had to start somewhere in knowing how to please a woman. This is a sweet book as two people strive to find their pace. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from Emma Monaghan. I’m always eager to read different authors so when this author contacted me to read her book I was excited to do so. I don’t always love second chance romances but I did really enjoy this one. Mike and Amy were great characters that were both well developed and likeable. That in itself is a plus for me because I usually end up hating either the H or the h and it’s rare that I like both of them. This story had a little bit of everything, it was funny, emotional, angsty, and also sweet. If you’re in the mood for a sweet rom com than Second Chance In Love is for you.

Found Mikes journey towards finding the answer to his sexual woes and overcoming them was cute, funny and admirable. He rocked I thought. Amys anguish was understandable. Just like all women who wants "the" perfect man in bed and not just as the provider etc. Love yes is strong and intense but why not have it all. And then there is the Kama Sutra...oh yes Amy now understood the reasons for her mothers screams of....Awesome read for those new to the art of sex and those needing more than just that.
I devoured this one quick. Mike was a virgin who has only been with one womam and that was Amy. He is so in love with Amy but he's got a past that has him in doubt and plays with his mind, it messes with his performance and puts him in such an embarrassing situation.

Amy, like any woman wants that earth-shattering "O", but not understanding if it's him OR her issue, she leaves. Seeks help from her family and friends.

This book is a journey of dealing with "you" before you can appreciate the "us". The time apart seemed to work magic into this relationship and leads them down their path to forever. Thanks in part to a certain book.

Mike is an accountant and has been dating Amy for a while. He was a virgin when he met her so that means he lacks experience in the bedroom. Besides not being very good in the bedroom Mike is a little bit of a slob but otherwise he is perfect. Mike is trying to become partner at the firm and has to work quite a bit. While he works Amy spends more time with her friends and she is beginning to doubt her relationship. She even seeks advice from her family. Mike is unaware of the issue in the bedroom but once he finds out will he do anything to please her so that he doesn't lose her?

Mike and Amy-I'm not sure about these two. One thing is for sure, they definitely belong together. Poor Mike was a virgin until he and Amy started seeing each other, but he has a lot to learn in the bedroom. So does Amy as a matter of fact, since she's never experienced "the little death" from what I read. But she breaks up with Mike because he doesn't know what HE'S doing. I thought the storyline was refreshing, but the conversations quite often felt stilted and the editing needs more work. I think what poor Mike went thru to try and get better to please his love was supposed to be humerous or something, but I just kept shaking my head. Naive doesn't begin to describe this poor guy. But you can't help but want him to succeed. I haven't finished yet, but I will find out if all of his bumbling and searching has paid off. I do like the plot and story idea, but I think the execution could've been a little better.
This book had all the emotions. Mike and Amy have been dating for a while. Mike wants to ask Amy to marry him. Amy knows that Mike will ask soon, but she doesn't know if she will accept. Mike has all the qualifications of a perfect mate, but one thing he is not good at. Sex. Amy refuses to talk to Mike about this, even though he lost his virginity to her. The night that Mike proposes to Amy, she accepts. However, she changes her mind when Mike can't perform. The next morning he finds her gone and her ring on the table. He knows what the problem is. He vows to himself that he will do anything to get the help he needs to be a better love. What I really liked about this book was the dedication he had to do this. He suffered humiliation and almost went broke to succeed, which he did. This is how much he loved Amy. She whined to her friends instead of talking to Mike, which she should have before things got too far. I received an ARC of this book and am giving my honest review. I look forward to reading more of Emma's books.
